HISTORY
Way back in 1697, on the eve of the Battle of Senta, the brave border Guards welcomed the famous European military leader Eugene of Savoy with warm chocolate. While sipping this wondrous drink, Eugene of Savoy prepared his last details of combat strategy against the powerful Turkish army. This extract from his Adjutant’ diary represents the first written document on Chocolate in our region. Three centuries later, the Eugen Chocolate represents a collection of sophisticated and challenging chocolate creations which will satisfy the most diverse tastes and expectations of chocolate.
Eugen Chocolate, a company for manufacture of fine chocolate, was founded in the year 2007. in Novi Sad, with the aim to bring brand new products to a market, to satisfy demanding needs of contemporary market.
Our production, based on scientific knowledge and experience, with respect for traditional skills, has resulted in high quality and safe products, with recognizable design and unforgettable tastes. Common characteristics of chocolate creations that originate in Eugene chocolate manufacture are well balanced, with unusual and original combinations of high-quality chocolate, spices, fruits and flavours.
MANUFACTURE OF CHOCOLATE
Production of Eugen chocolate starts off with a careful selection of the highest quality raw materials. The next step is the incoming control of raw materials and marking each ingredient which enters into the final product. From the technical and technological aspect of view, the production of chocolate has been set by the team of highly qualified experts with rich working experience. Eugen chocolates are distinguished by a high percentage of cocoa solids, as well as by the fact that they only consist of cocoa butter as one of the most important ingredient which determines the quality of chocolate. As emulsifier in chocolate, sunflower lecithin is used instead of the soy one, as it is well known that soy is allergen. The manufacturing is performed in accordance with the principles of HACCP and ISO standards, which results in production of high-quality, safe healthy products. The accredited laboratory of the Nutritional Institute in Novi Sad is responsible for the end control of the final products. By dedication and commitment in the quest for the new tastes, over the years, the Eugen Chocolate has developed a wide range of chocolate products which are ideal for every occasion: from chocolate products in bulk which are ideal for daily dose of the sweet satisfaction, through a box of chocolates in an attractive and stylish packaging and luxurious packs made from wood which represent a gift which will bring a smile to anyone, up to chocolate souvenirs with old postcards of Serbia with literary output descriptions of cities and sights written by renowned writers like Mika Antić, Ivo Andrić or Bora Stanković.
CREATION OF PACKAGING
A special section of manufacture is the production of the attractive packaging from the finest materials. Packaging of all Eugen chocolate collections has been enriched with specific details which give it a distinctive visual effect and a strikingly impressive design. The creative team works continiously on development of new products design, to bring pleasure for all senses to the chocolate lovers. Thanks to the quality and luxurious packaging, the Eugen chocolates have become a popular corporate gift of numerous international and domestic companies to their business partners, but also a charming detail for many special events and promotional activities, as well as an irresistible present to our dear people. The team of designers works daily on creation of new and different kinds and forms of packs for them to be, with their quality and originality, an adequate “suit” for the unusual chocolate flavours which are born in our manufacture. Packaging material is produced in our printing department, where we are vigorously helped by several machines: a goldprint machine, a laser engraving machine, a digital print machine, a cutter, while packaging for our most luxurious collections, Royal and the Exclusive Collection, is produced manually, in our workshop.
